Ranting (1)As pointed out by the pointy-heads at the NYTimes, the annoying use of placing ads and other clutter in the bottom third of the TV screen is bothersome. Not sure I disagree that broadcast and cable television is making the experience more distracting, less entertaining. Read the article: "As the Fall Season Arrives, TV Screens Get More Cluttered"

Ranting (0)If they're going to go through the trouble of rebranding, you'd think they'd come up with something a little more 1. exciting, 2. modern, 3. stylish, 4. reminiscent of the Tampa Bay area, and/or 5. bold than this! If they're trying to invigorate a tired brand, this seems to be a weak attempt. Check out the proposed (and preliminary) D-Rays new uniforms.

Interesting (0)I came across a really great article at A List Apart today. It may be of interest to someone, maybe? "As designers, we are often thought of—and think of ourselves—as vendors, offering design services. Sometimes an adversarial relationship develops, with clients giving orders and designers taking them (cursing all the while). Including clients in the design process can change this relationship, facilitating knowledge transfer, building trust, and fostering a sense of partnership." 09.07.07Word of the day: Amoxicillin
Jason's Word of the Day (0)Amoxicillin (INN) or amoxycillin (former BAN) is a moderate-spectrum ?-lactam antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. It is usually the drug of choice within the class because it is better absorbed, following oral administration, than other beta-lactam antibiotics. Amoxicillin is susceptible to degradation by ?-lactamase-producing bacteria, and so may be given with clavulanic acid to decrease its susceptibility (see below). It was developed by Beecham in 1972 and is currently marketed by GlaxoSmithKline (the inheritor company) under the original trade name Amoxil. I sure hope this amoxicillin starts to work, cause I feel like poop!
